Maybe if they wait long enough, it could arrive as a launch title for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720.
Duke Nukem Forever has been in development for about a decade, but it seems more like a millennium, and it has come to be the very epitome of the term, "vapor-ware." However, it's back on the radar (again), and this time, we've got some big news to go along with it- according to MCV, 3D Realms now plans to release the long-awaited FPS on multiple platforms! As CEO Scott Miller said, “We plan to have a multi-platform release if possible. We're not nailing down a date yet, but we're excited about the game's progress.”
Obviously, this implies DNF should arrive for the PS3 and Xbox 360 as well as the PC, provided 3D Realms deems it "possible." On top of which, they plan to release a brand new trailer for the game today (it debuts at 6 p.m. GMT), although it's not a "full-blown trailer." Nope, it's just a teaser, but that's hardly surprising. Before this, only PC users had to deal with the never-ending delays for Duke Nukem Forever , but now, we console players get to follow along with the saga, too. …we're not sure if we should be excited or annoyed.
