Final Xbox 360 dev kits shipping too close to the system's launch left gamers
staring at games that (in some cases) looked remarkably last-gen; Sony is hoping
to not have the same problem. Gamespot is reporting that Sony has confirmed that over 10,000 development units have
shipped to 208 companies in eleven countries.
Not only have 10,000 kits been shipped, but they started rolling out in May,
which is much earlier the pre-launch window than final Xbox 360 kits shipped.
The list of titles in development doesn't seem to reflect the fact that so many
developers are hard at work on PS3 games, but with that kind of support, there
has to be some gems that are as of yet unannounced. Right?
