If you've forgotten about one of the biggest games of the fall, than Insomniac is about ready to jump-start your memory: the awesome news of the day, especially for platforming fans, is simple yet exciting- according to IGN, Insomniac and Sony are preparing a playable demo of Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction for the PlayStation Store. It'll be ready to go on October 4.
We had heard whispers of a demo some time ago, and that rumor continued to grow over the past few weeks. Australian website TheDaily.com quoted an Insomniac employee as saying-
"We essentially flat-out demolish the symbol of PlayStation 2 Ratchet & Clank: the city of Metropolis [in Tools of Destruction]. Players will get a sneak peek of this level via a downloadable demo that should hit the PlayStation Network Store in the not-too-distant future."
But this is the official confirmation, and we Ratchet fans couldn't be happier. We will be able to play the game's first level in the upcoming demo, and we can't wait to see what a next-gen R&C will look like. Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction may not have the same pull Grand Theft Auto IV would've had in October, but come October 23, gaming fans will have a top-quality substitute (with many others on the way).
