It's one of the most anticipated games of the fall, and until now, it never even had a release date. We knew to expect Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction some time this fall, but exactly when was definitely something of a question.
However, according to a recent Full Moon Show podcast featuring Insomniac Games, the release date has been revealed. Animation Director Chris Nicholls says the game will hit store shelves on October 23, 2007, which means it falls smack dab in the midst of the biggest titles of the year. It shouldn't be a big problem, though; Ratchet and Clank was one of the most popular franchises in the industry last generation.
Of course, Insomniac doesn't have to deal with Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto IV anymore, which would've released on October 16. That giant game got delayed until 2008, leaving October a lot more open to the likes of Tools of Destruction . It'll sell, and chances are, people will just plain love it.
