The publishers are clamoring to release their lineups for this year's E3, and Midway is one of the latest to reveal theirs. The lineup holds no real surprises, but there is one potentially problematic nugget of info- we all knew Unreal Tournament 3 would be at the show, but the game is only listed for the PC. For quite some time, we've known it would arrive for both the PS3 and PC first, and then the Xbox 360 at a later date. Has something changed, or are they only showing gameplay on the PC…? Guess we'll have to wait for clarification at the show.
“Our 2007 E3 lineup truly reflects our product strategy to develop top quality titles in a wide range of genres across all major platforms,” said David F. Zucker, president and CEO, Midway. “With exciting next generation games such as Stranglehold and proven brands like Mortal Kombat, along with games for the younger market and handhelds, this is Midway’s most diverse and strongest line up yet.”
The lineup only consists of five games, but three of them (provided UT 3 is still scheduled for the PS3) are for the PS3. The games scheduled for presentation at the show are- Stranglehold (PS3, Xbox 360, PC), BlackSite: Area 51 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC), Unreal Tournament 3 (PS3(?), Xbox 360(?), PC), Ultimate Mortal Kombat (DS), and Cruis'n (Wii). We'll be checking on the status of UT 3 for you, as soon as we get the chance.
