On this day five years ago, Red Dead Redemption launched.
It was one of the most critically acclaimed games of the generation and went on to sell over 13 million copies. We're still pining for a sequel announcement but in the meantime, we'll take this slick RDR tribute video, made with the Rockstar Editor in Grand Theft Auto V .
They create a very realistic John Marston character mod and they use the game's official launch trailer as inspiration. The video proves that Marston could be just as deadly in modern-day LA (or at least, on the outskirts of the city). And there may not be a horse but hey, steel horses that can be driven off jumps might qualify.
Now that all versions of GTAV are out the door, one would hope Rockstar is on to their next project. And we'd all like to assume it's another Red Dead . Maybe it'll be revealed at E3…?
