There are those who are happy with family and food, though. The older you get, the less you care about what you get and the more you care about where you are . All that new stuff is great but it's meaningless if they don't come wrapped in that warm fuzzy holiday goodness. Personally, I'll soon reach a point where I wouldn't care if I got nothing for Christmas, provided I still have the family and food part.
I'm way behind on my game list so I didn't want or need any new games. I did, however, get PlayStation TV, which I've always wanted to toy around with. That'll be fun. I also got a bunch of books and crossword puzzles, a couple sweaters, and several board games (something my girlfriend and I have been doing more of lately, just to get the hell away from video screens during the week).
So, what'd you get?
I got a shiny new PS4 and the Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon OST on Vinyl. Those were all I needed to make my holiday complete.
Well this month it was also my birthday where I got my 1st (& hopefully last ) PS4, I snagged one during the Black Friday deals and sold the games to make up for it saving 1/3 of the price. I then got Watch Dogs and Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD.
Then for hohoho, I got CoD: Advanced Warfare, The Evil Within: Limited Edition, Murdered: Soul Suspect Collectors Editon & Wolvenstein: The New Order Occupied Edition. I'm thrilled with them all, I have far more games than I thought I would for the ps4 for this year but I'm genuinely interested in each of them games – funnily enough I have only really played MGS5:GZ as I've been so busy with Kingdom Hearts II on PS3. But I intially got a PS4 as an investment for 2015 but I think there is enough content from 2014, which is surprising as the year has felt very sparse with game releases.
As far as games I got $60 to spend on the PSN. Perfect!
Otherwise I got a few other things buy notably The Hobbit The Desolation of Smaug on Blu Ray and I finally got my official team Aaron Rodgers jersey! Yes!

I got no games. But I did get a $200 gift card to a high end men's clothing store and $100 to home depot, $25 to Indigo, $25 to Starbucks, and a dashing pair of pants. Which was the entire list above more than I had asked for.
When asked, I asked for a small list of things for my kids from extended family and my own parents. Got that stuff too. I'm a lucky man.

The only game I got was Singstar Queen (for the family), but my backlog is huge and I got Skyrim for my recent birthday, so I'm set for a long while regardless.
I was going to ask for a PS4, but my TV is starting to get fritzy, so I'm getting a new one instead. PS4 will have to wait…until backwards compatibility is added. It is coming…right, Sony?
I did get some tunes and a few awesome old shows on DVD (Freaks And Geeks and My So-Called Life).

If you're waiting for b/c I think you might be skipping this gen, I don't see it happening. But on the plus side Skyrim provides almost a generations worth of gaming so you should be fine for a while.

Just got far cry 4 yesterday, but no time to play it, bcoz today is 2004 tsunami remembering day for me…
The only gaming related gift I got was a gift card to EB Games, but I did get tickets to see the Foo FIghters which I absolutely cannot wait for!

I only asked for Inquisition and I got that and Far Cry 4 from my brother. My other brother got me Gremlins 1&2, and TMNT 1-3 all on blu ray. My sister got me the new TMNT movie on blu ray with a leonardo cover since he's my favorite. I'm really happy.

I picked up PlayStation TV earlier in the month, so it was like an early Christmas gift to myself (and a steal at $70). Now I just need games. I could use some of my digital downloads on it to get me going, but I really want Persona 4:Golden. Fortunately, one of the gifts my wife ordered for me on Amazon needs to be returned, and another suddenly went out of stock after it was ordered, so there's definitely money for that and another game.
Makes me want to get an actual Vita, but that can wait. I have a TREMENDOUS backlog. I just recently started playing on my own again, squeezing in person playtime (vs family playtime with my daughters on the Wii). It's so far back, that right now I'm playing Chrono Cross on my PS3. It's that serious guys.
Moving in with my girlfriend, and she mentioned that she LOVED Diablo I & II, so I picked up a PS4 of Diablo III: Ulimate Evil Edition for her (and for myself, let's be real here). The gaming gift I got was a PS silver headset, which will keep her from murdering me for playing at full volume 😀
Oneechanbara import. I can't read any of it and don't know what's going on but it's a great action game with babes slicing zombies. Theres even a chainsaw girl. It's on the level of Lollipop Chainsaw and I can't imagine why it isn't in the US except for the big breasts.

Atelier Escha and Logy: I'm gonna try one more time to find one of these games I don't give up on.
Nothing gaming related just a couple of pair of jeans, jogger pants and a hoodie. I do prefer getting clothes now because I hate clothes shopping and I can always buy my own games now and fInd the better deals myself.
funly enough i only got one game but thats okay i got lego too and i got a GPS unit cos my navigation skills are not all the good but i got some good stuff they other stuff i wanted i'll just have to go get myself in the new year
