After Take-Two Interactive dismissed actress Lindsay Lohan's lawsuit against them as frivolous, Lohan filed a 67-page complaint against the company, describing why Take-Two benefited from using her likeness in Grand Theft Auto V (source: Hollywood Reporter ).
Lohan believes Take-Two used her likeness to create the character of Lacey Jonas in the game, while the publisher says the only similarities are that both are young, blond women. Take-Two also accused Lohan of leveling the lawsuit for "publicity purposes." Now, Lohan's legal team has added dozens of images to its complaint, featuring real-world images they believe Rockstar used as reference points. They claim developer Rockstar wanted to "evoke the persona and image" of Lohan.
Furthermore, they say the image of Lacey Jonas was used in GTAV marketing material, such as billboards, posters, coffee mugs and t-shirts. Lohan claims GTAV doesn't represent "transformative" use of her likeness because Rockstar only cared about "financial gain." …it's this latter point that makes me laugh. What's Lohan after? Justice? Gimme a break .

Honestly? The first thing I thought of when playing the game, and seeing that character, was just how similar it was to Lindsey Lohan. So, I see her reasoning behind this. The character clearly took inspirations from her.
However, it is what I like to call a 'parody'. Should Lohan win the lawsuit? Yes, as the resemblance is clear.
But, the fact that she's suing over a damn character in a video game? I mean, it's just insane. She's in the right to do so, but she really shouldn't be taking this to heart.
I beat the game already but I dont recall this character at all.
Why did Lohan complain? Was this character a prostitute? If anything Rockstar introduced her to the young crowd.
Let's just give every crack whore off the street a lawsuit against rockstar then
That character is a natural blonde, Lohan is not. If anyone remembers her from their younger days in movies like Mean Girls and Freaky Friday, you would know she was a red head. Along with many other differences to the character and herself. Just because she went off the deep end, got lost in drugs and alcohol and spent her money on a bunch of crap doesn't give her the right to make false claims because she can't get work any other way.
That character's personality was..nice. Lohan has been reported as fowl. So…pray tell where the similarities are if not in the body or personality?
I don't get the negative fuzz about Lohan, she's clearly has the right with her, rockstar should shut up and compensate her the amount she asks,you used her likeness, because you are a huge company and you think you can use people's likeness without ask first well you don't…you don't have this right, YOU(*Rockstar)do whatever you big money headed company think you can, do the right think for once 'n COMPENSATE Lohan Rockstar..

Lindsay is a product of a "big money headed company". And what do you think she is suing for? An apology?
Can't believe people think she seriously has a case. The character in question doesn't look like her at all. Nose is different, hair different, so are the lips and eye shape and color. Only people who ever had a case were those who had their music used without consent
I think it's cause she's famous that she think she has the right. I know a lot of people that look like in game characters. I also know some friends that look like actors n actresses. Should they file a lawsuit for that lol? Jk, but I believe this is really just stuff that often naturally plays out. I'm not going to assume Lohans right or that rockstar definitely didn't do some referencing, but it does seem silly this whole thing.
Well she has a bad reputation that makes a lot of people money to talk about which is what she feels has been stolen from her.
But hey, you're a public figure so you can't claim ownership of your image. Unless maybe it's a college football game.
They should bury the hatchet by putting her in the HD update lock stock and barrel, totally stripperish and part of new missions. Pay her, massage her ego, and attract celeb-based news (TMZ, tabloid, late night talk show jokes) and everyone benefits.
I should sue Lohan for making blondes seem like desperate gold diggers. Doesn't she have a wardrobe to rob from a film set or something?
Well, to be honest, the GTAV character looks hotter than Lohan.
