For instance, it will no longer be able to handle Grand Theft Auto V down the road. According to Rockstar's Support website , owners of the 12GB PS3 will have to purchase a storage upgrade if they want to keep playing Grand Theft Auto Online .
This is because after the recent 1.16 update that delivered the San Andreas Flight School, your hard drive won't have enough space to store future updates and content. Obviously, your 12GB of internal flash storage won't stop you from playing the single-player mode, but as multiplayer updates have to be installed, you need a lot more available space. However, don't forget that single-player DLC is on the way, too, and you might miss out on that as well…
Seriously, though, who out there bought the PS3 with 12GB of internal flash memory? Anyone you know?

That kind of sucks. Sony should have prepared for this situation.
For an arcade style system, not sure why they would need to prepare for anything. That's on R*.
Besides… $10, and you got an HDD with more than enough room for it.
No, people shouldn't have been cheap and bought the 12GB flash models thinking there wouldn't be drawbacks. Then Sony would have immediately discontinued that stupid model.

In all seriousness — who in their right minds would buy a 12GB PS3? As the years have gone by install sizes have increased therefore most gamers should have known this was going to happen with games such as these.
I wouldn't buy a 12GB flashdrive lol much less a 12GB console.

What a waste of time, money, and resources on this idiotic idea. A 12GB System?! Sony I love you but this is "THE" single most stupid idea you've ever done.
On another note anyone have any idea what the single player GTA V DLC is going to be about? i.e. story, characters, location,etc.
i don't know why anyone wud get that pathetic 12g model anyway but yeah ur gunna need more space
