There will be two Assassin's Creed adventures this fall, one each for previous-gen and next-gen consoles.
The one coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 is called Assassin's Creed Rogue and now we've got some gameplay, thanks to a couple Gamescom walkthrough videos.
These show off a bunch of naval battles on the high seas, as well as standard combat on land. The game is set during the Seven Years' War, and you play as an Assassin-turned-Templar named Shay Patrick Cormack. That's the "Rogue" part of the title, by the way. The gameplay appears to be exactly what we'd expect, even if it's not quite as impressive as the Assassin's Creed: Unity footage. Well, one gets the benefit of a lot more raw horsepower, you know?
And die-hard fans of the series are gonna want to play both, anyway. Rogue isn't some slipshod spin-off, either; it's a fully realized entry, and that's undeniably appealing for Assassin's Creed followers. The game will release on November 11 for the PS3 and 360.
Glad I saw this. No longer interested. This is literally the worst thing I've seen in awhile. What an over played generic tired lame and un-inventive game. Let the poor man rest. And by man I of course mean series. The only thing it MIGHT excel at is the story but I have no faith in that. Why the hell does this dude, who is a templar, have to run around killing the same dudes assassins do? Oh they're gang leaders. Right. They sure as hell weren't gang leaders when Edward was running around. And those dudes are textured exactly the same.
Whatever, at this point I'm just ranting.
I think the "gang leader" was an assassin.
Haters gonna hate!
Woah dude calm down. Relax!
I don't think you were paying too much attention to the video.
The 'gang' was a group being led by an Assassin, the main characters mission is to eliminate the Assassin leader.
I'll pass on this one, but I'm getting AC: Unity.. ^_^
Yup. Unity at launch and Rogue when it's $29.99 on. PS4.
This is just too similar to AC4.
Plus I don't really dig the whole Templar killing Assassins angle. I mean, I have been an Assassin for the past 6 games, I like being an Assassin. Being some badass unstopable Templar just doesn't feel right with the story, since it is Assassins Creed after all, and not Templars Creed.
well thats was ceratinly compelling
i think i will get both AC games this year hoopfully
happy gaming
