GameStop’s Simpler, Easier Trade-In Program Confirmed

Looks like we'll get more for our trade-ins now.

GameStop has confirmed their more appealing, simplified trade-in program, which will begin on August 18.

GameStop senior vice president for pre-owned business, Jason Cochran, said this will ultimately benefit the consumer. Not only can we expect 20 percent more trade per game (on average), but the whole process should be a lot easier:

"What we're doing is we're ripping out a lot of that complexity and being able to show or convey a more straightforward way for customers to understand the true buyback price."

Currently, the system is a little awkward. In order to get the maximum trade-in value for a game, you typically have to apply that credit toward a pre-order or another promotion. However, in a few weeks time, that won't be true. If you're a PowerUp Rewards Pro member, you'll still see that bonus trade-in credit, for instance.

Anything to make my GameStop visit faster would be much appreciated, thanks.

As far as how that all works it's all soul-selling stuff that I don't deal with, but I don't mind browsing.

Ok. On my gamestop card I had all this on it that I had bought.

ps4.
2 ps3's
PS vita.
2 ps4 controllers
a ps4 rechargable thingy
FF 14, Diablo 3, tales of Xillia, Dragon's Crown, Xcom, Tales of Graces F, The Last of Us, and no less than 10 used games.

I also bought a Wii U.
I bought the Wii U Classic controller ( Need this to play old games on system)
2 Wii controllers (Need them to play old games)
A rechargable system for the Wii controllers
Super Mario Brothers U, Nintendo Land, Mario Kart.

I also went back and bought some old Wii games I never played because I never owned a Wii systems.

The Last of US, Fire Emblem:Radiant Dawn, Xenoblade, and a few others. The first 3 are absolute masterpieces.

All these systems and games were on my list and gave me POINTS to buy other stuff.

Wanna know how much 40k points is worth?

25 in store dollars. I over 2k in that store in one year and got a 25 dollar discount.

It is not worth it to me to pay for. I used to pay the 15 bucks a year just to get the good magazine, but I dont really read them. That is what the internets is for.

So there you go.

Oh, btw. This doesnt even count the major mula I spent on the Wii U for old games to download, say like Ogre Battle 64 and the many other games I loved back in the day for the Wii U.

Same thing for the PS vita and PS 3.

just bought Way of the Samurai 3 for PS3. Got it cheap. Hope it is good.

Gamestop isn't the problem, people who shop at Gamestop are the problem.
