Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel’s Athena Is A Fighting Machine

If you're a Borderlands fanatic, then you've kept either the PS3 or Xbox 360 for this fall's new entry, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel .

If you played The Secret Armory of General Knoxx in the original game, you should recognize this one-time enemy. She is one of The Pre-Sequel 's main characters and she's got all sorts of potential: She uses an action skill called Kinetic Apsis, which is a shield that lets her absorb attacks and throw it right back at her enemies for double damage. Upgrades include storing elemental damage and chaining strikes.

Her skill tree focuses on hectic, close-quarters fighting, so you'll enjoy abilities like Maelstrom and Blood Rush, both of which will dole out serious amounts of pain. Here's Athena in action:
