See now, these are hardcore fans.
We won't see a "Grand Theft Auto" movie any time soon, but how's about a real-life, shot-for-shot remake of the original official trailer for Grand Theft Auto V ?
A group of Spanish filmmakers called Zapruder Pictures has made it happen; the live-action video is extremely accurate, right down to the camera angles and the clothes the actors are wearing. Yeah, they use some CG here and there, but so what? This obviously took a lot of effort, and even GTA developer Rockstar Games has complimented the team, writing on their Twitter page : "Awesome!"
For the record, Zapruder Pictures has also created short movies based on the Call of Duty and Max Payne franchises.

I want to do that for a living.
Hope the devs see it, that would humble any artists. Imitation is flattery.
No, it's really not, all this is doing is exploiting the series for popularity. I am so opposed to these 'fan films'. The truth is, if their videos were completely unrelated to any established franchise, no one would be watching them right now. All they are doing is feeding off other peoples success rather than creating something substantial of their own.
I give them credit for making a good product, at least it is not pretentious as that Bioshock 2 fan video with the girl holding the Big Sister teddy by the beach.
You're a harsh one.
