Fallout 3 Completed In Only 24 Minutes

So, how long did it take you to finish Fallout 3 ?

One of the most acclaimed open-world role-playing games of the previous generation, this was quite the lengthy experience. If you finished it in 24 hours, you were doing pretty good.

But how's about beating it in 24 minutes ? That's the new world record, as set by speed-runner BubblesDelFuego, whose official completion time came in at 23 minutes and 55 seconds. This is an "any percentage" run, which means the only objective is to see the game's ending as fast as humanly possible, and Bubbles utilized some crazy techniques to set the record. This includes pushing NPC characters so they reach destinations faster.

However, don't expect the record-holder to try again. He won't unless someone tops him:

"Pretty solid, I won't try to improve unless something big is found, or if the record is taken by some good competition."

I'm completely unimpressed by this. IMHO he didn't beat the game. He just found a way too make it end really fast. I'm sure he went through a lot of trial and error and worked hard to get it done, but it's almost like one of those records that we only hear about because they are so odd.

I agree yet I'm always up for watching these. It's a guilty pleasure but I don't for a moment think the gamer is any better at gaming than I am. Especially if you watch the "speed runs" that use save states.

That's one of the holes in open world games that needs to be filled.

Now give me a Fallout 4 announcement ya bastards.

Ya , what about a real long story + the usual side stuff in an open world game .

These games are so short if you do the main stuff only and the side stuff you have to repeat over and over always get boring after awhile .
Might as well put a little of that work into the story .

What's not to like? Of course they played the game normally their first time around.

Speed runners don't buy games with the sole intention of setting the fastest clock time. Random assumptions come from where?

– they've played the game countless times over to learn it
– they Enjoy the game more than us

In any case, this is a anything-goes speed run (glitches, no hacks). Speed running it legitimately would take much longer.

"- they Enjoy the game more than us"

Uhhhh. How can you say that?

It is completely wrong to try and say that someone enjoys the game more than everyone else, you don't know how much I enjoyed Fallout 3, or anyone else for that matter.

Oh haha I don't mean it literally man.

They would only play the games repeatedly if they love them very much. Give em' some credit. It's not their job to speed run (well, I would hope not).

Yeah I don't really rate this.

I mean, all he did was reach the end, you didn't actually FINISH the game. He cheated.

It's like running in a race where the only rule is to cross the finish line, you could just fly there or drive and you still win.

Let me know when someone does a speed run of a 100% playthrough, THEN I will be impressed.

I have to admit, while I finished Fallout3 all I did with Vegas was instantly use cheats and go around murdering everyone. It took me several days to complete this mission.
