Video Games: The Movie Scheduled To Release In July

If you've been a gamer all your life, you'll probably want to see this.

"Video Games: The Movie," a new feature film that chronicles the history of the industry in question, is coming to theaters in the US and Canada on July 18. The movie can be purchased via iTunes and other digital platforms starting July 15.

From producer Zach Braff ("Scrubs," "Garden State") and director Jeremy Snead, the film follows the rise of gaming from its infancy to today. The narrator is Sean Astin ("Lord of the Rings," "The Goonies"), and the movie features interviews with noted industry legends Nolan Bushnell (Atari), Hideo Kojima (the Metal Gear Solid creator), and Cliff Bleszinski (Epic Games). There are a also a few celebrity interviews.

"Video Games: The Movie" will get a limited release, so you might have to find a willing theater. For more, check out the film's official website .

Indie Game was a decent, as was Grounded. I'll watch this sooner or later. Hideo and Cliff huh? Now there's some good contrast.
