Dark Souls II Patch Delivers Single-Player, Multiplayer Fixes

One of the most rewarding experiences of 2014 is about to get even better.

Publisher Namco Bandai has confirmed that an update for the well-received Dark Souls II will arrive this week: Update 1.03 is now available in Japan and Asia and it'll launch in Western territories on Friday.

The patch delivers plenty of fixes and updates; check out the full list of improvements at Gamer Syndrome . There's a wide variety of single-player and multiplayer repairs and upgrades, which should make the game that much more stable and enjoyable. The developers even optimized menus and fixed a variety of annoying bugs that resulted in unfair deaths.

Well, you die so many times in Dark Souls II , they all sort of run together after a while. A lot of them feel unfair but in truth, it's just because you weren't prepared. This patch will take care of the deaths that really were cheesy, though.

Like the enemy tracking attacks or, the best, every single player one shotting you with pyromancy, magic, hexes, or lightning spear.

Good stuff.

I am currently in the area below "The Gutter" where there are poison statues everywhere and it's one of the most annoying places in the whole franchise U_U

Its a short area so be thankful for that. There are two bonfires down there I think.

Black Gulch I think? It's not as bad as Shrine of Amana. If you haven't gotten there yet, prepare for seeking soul arrow span from hell.

I get killed by invaders all the time because of lag. They'll be nowhere near me and facing the wrong way and then all of a sudden I'm back stabbed. I've had one or two other problems but they aren't nearly as prevalent.

If I recall correctly there's a ring that decreases damage from back stabs. You might want to hug for that ring if this problem persists.
