With the new generation in full swing, it's time to sit back and reflect on yet another fantastic era of gaming goodness.
Of course, you couldn't possibly have played every game you wanted to play. That being the case, what's the one title you really regret missing? What's the one that you're holding onto your PS3 or Xbox 360 to play? Or, with your PS3 or 360 gone, what's the one game you wish you could play, but now you can't?
For me, it's definitely The Walking Dead by Telltale Games. Given my love of high drama in the world of interactive entertainment, it's just wrong that I've missed out on these award-winning productions. I've never even seen the first episode and that still irks me. Just about everyone I speak to thinks I'm nuts for never having tried it, and I agree with them. It's just that every time I thought about downloading and playing, something came up; a review that desperately needed to be done, for example.
I suppose another one would be Mark of the Ninja , another great digital title I missed out on. If you really think about it, you'll start to come up with all sorts of great games you never got around to…what are yours?
I played most of the games I wanted to play, but the two I missed out on were Fallout 3 and Vanquish. Maybe this summer, after Watch Dogs has been completed, I'll head to a GameStop used game bin…
oooo man, Fallout 3 is still worth it. Gonna be a long time before the next real one too.
That's a toughie, I've been very promiscuous this generation.
Kinda wanted to play Walking Dead, but since decisions don't matter I felt turned off. I had to skip Far Cry 3 cuz it's just too big and time consuming.
My only problem with not having a 360 was I missed Lost Odyssey.
I'm not done with last-gen, damnit!
So, I don't really know?
Not a single game, and that's just sad. I bought far, far too many games this last gen.
Metal gear solid rising. I'm a sucker for action games like that. I'll get it, just haven't yet. Other than that, all the great horror pc game's that have come out the past few years . I've got outlast waiting for me though for when I finally do get a ps4.
nothing really.
most last gen games are on PC as well so i dont have to worry about not having a last gen system anymore.
definetly games i would of liked to finish, CLoS being one of them, but i lost interest in that when stupid konami decided to announce the sequel and by doing so completely spoil the ending of the original so there went that idea out the window.
same goes for RDR never finished that.
i got pretty close to it, but again they announced the DLC and that spoiled RDRs ending so there was that story again.
honestly i can't really think of much that i regret from last genand yeah i in a bit of a last-gen/current-gen cos i got ps3/ps4 and a ton of ps3 games to play yet plus a bunch of ps4 games to come yeah i'm in a transition atm with consoles
happy gaming =)
Skyrim, Fallout 3, New Vegas, Alone in the dark: Inferno, and The Darkness 1 & 2.
But since they're(plus a ton of others) all sitting happily in my backlog pile, hopefully I'll get to them all one of these upcoming weeks, months, or years.
The Last of Us, but it happened for a reason because I have a good feeling that it'll come out for PS4 and thus providing a better visual experience.
I'm pretty sure you can get The Walking Dead on Vita, so it's not too late Ben :).
As for me, the only two on PS3 only I haven't played yet that I'd like to are Beyond: Two Souls and The Puppeteer, but I haven't written them off. We still have a PS3 here, and then there's Playstation Now down the track, and hope to play them on one (or both ;)).
As for the multiplats, I've switched to PC for finishing them up. There's more of a pain-in-the-arse factor, so some (like Batman:Arkham Origins) may never get played, but I can handle the odd CTD/glitch to play through most of 'em :). Helps space out the inevitable first-year line-up gaps in the PS4 as well.
