Lords Of Shadow 2 “Revelations” DLC Brings Back Alucard?

A classic character could make his return to the Castlevania franchise very soon.

According to data files contained within the freshly released Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 , as spotted by All Games Beta , upcoming downloadable content will deliver a new playable character…and he's quite familiar to series fans:

"Play as Alucard in this extensive add on for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. The immersive story is expanded further as new branches of the plot are uncovered, along with rich new environments and challenging puzzles. Fight creatures of darkness and discover the true extent of Alucard's involvement in Dracula's story, his deal with death and his fight against Satan. Experience a whole new aspect of the thrilling conclusion to the 'Lords of Shadow' saga, including some enlightening revelations!"

Now, that's a name that has been around a while. New Castlevania followers may know Alucard as Trevor Belmont, the son of the corrupted protagonist in the Lords of Shadow games, Gabriel Belmont. But Alucard was also the main character in the widely acclaimed Symphony of the Night , which released on the original PlayStation. So, do you want to play as Alucard in LoS2…?

Oh yeah, and "Alucard" is Dracula spelled backwards, a fact that's easy to miss for some reason.

Henceforth we will call this a "Lightning Returns maneuver" to grab classic greatness and try to use it to spruce up a mediocre game.

As if taking the Castlevania name, rewritten some of its canon in the process, wasn't enough.

although 2d castlevania still remain the best, that is sadly never going to happen i think HoD and mirror of fate were the last of them.

LoS2 is still a good game not great but good.

I have the game and I'm one of the people that think it's good but I wouldn't buy any DLC if they are like the ones of LOS1, those were awful!
