Raise your hand if you want a new NBA Jam !
…okay, all of you better have raised hands right now.
According to the game's official Twitter page , there's a new NBA Jam effort in the works:
"Retweet if you're ready for a new NBA Jam!"
2010's NBA Jam payed homage to an arcade classic, and it did a darn fine job. It got even better when the On Fire Edition landed the following year. I've been saying for years that developers need to make more arcade-style sports games; seems like every single new sports title these days is a simulator. That's why I'm hoping the RBI Baseball resurrection is all about over-the-top, totally unrealistic fun.
Cross your fingers for EA to lift the lid on the new NBA Jam some time very soon.
I look forward to a new one if on the PS4. I personally don't love sport games, but NBA Jam has always just been fun. It doesn't take basketball seriously and it's just about being on FIRE.
Anyone remember how awesome Baseball Stars was for NES? I'm not even close to a baseball fan either. That much customization was unheard of back then. Love that stuff! Nice and simple too. It wasn't buried under a million settings.
Anyways, I enjoyed NBA Jam: On Fire Edition. Played it for a week straight and then other stuff came up. If I had people to play it with then I probably would of put more time in after unlocking a whole lot of crazy stuff. That's what kept me playing for that week though. Gameplay is quite simple, though entertaining, the unlockables kept me coming back.
If it's fast as hell and has super duper graphics on the ps4 you can count me in.
I want another NBA street, V2 and V3 were sick games
homecourt not so much, but I reckon ps4 could spark the revival
