Dragon’s Crown Cross Play Update Live

Dragon's Crown is one of the most polished, wildly entertaining games of 2013.

The best part is that it's fantastic on both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, so the fact that the game is finally utilizing Sony's Cross Buy promotion is great news.

The latest update enables Cross Play, which means that if you purchased Dragon's Crown on either the PS3 or Vita, the other version is now available to nab at no extra charge. The side-scrolling beat-'em-up that blends in extra role-playing depth is beautiful, ceaselessly fun, and loaded with plenty of replay potential. If you want to experiment with all six playable characters and you also wish to tackle every side-quest, you'll be playing for quite a while.

And now the fun never has to stop. Done playing on the PS3? Heading out? Grab your Vita and keep playing. Hence, the allure of Cross Play.

I get the feeling this is only cross play and not cross buy, even though it's mentioned in the article. I dunno, could be wrong.

Cross-Buy, Cross-Play, Cross-Save are 3 totally different things and only Cross-Play is being addressed with this update.

The game has had Cross-Save since launch.

Update 1.04:

-Gameplay stability has been stablized under certain conditions.
-Cross-Play capability has been added to allow matching of online games between users of the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Dragon's Crown for both cooperative and Versus play.
-An Option to Lock items to prevent them from being accidentally sold or deleted has been added.
-An Option has been added to Game Options 2 to allow or disable NPC joining.
-Other tuning and minor improvements to various gameplay elements have been made.

This article is totally wrong. The patch updated Cross-Play between the two platforms. At least now I can use my Vita version to play with the much larger PS3 install base. Careful there Ben…check your facts before you post.
