If you're looking to pick up a pre-owned PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, now's the time.
GameStop has announced that as of now, they have reduced the price of the used PS3 and 360 systems. These prices are in effect at all US GameStop store locations and at the company's website, but this is only for a limited time.
Between October 11 and 24, you can pick up a pre-owned original 360 for only $99.99 ($30 less than the previous $129.99 price), a pre-owned Xbox Slim 4GB model for $119.99 (previously priced at $179.99), and any pre-owned PS3 for $149.99 (way down from the previous $259.99 price tag). If you buy any of these systems, you will receive one pre-owned game of your choice that is priced at $19.99 or less for free. If you're a PowerUp Rewards member, you have an exclusive one-day early access to the promotion, and you'll get a 30% discount on all PS3 and 360 accessories, plus 10% off your overall purchase, bringing the total savings to 40%.
Said GameStop vice president of pre-owned merchandise Jon Haes:
"We are very excited to offer our customers this tremendous deal on these two great consoles. We are always looking for new ways to bring value to our customers and this deal is a great opportunity for people to experience gaming at a great low price."
There are also new low prices for the pre-owned Kindle Fire 8GB ($89.99, down from $119.99), and the pre-owned iPod Nano Gen 5 (starting at $39.99, down from $74.99). Ready to save?
Still too high for a 360. One day I will play Lost Odyssey.
Awesome news my PS3 has now died for a third time, trade that in on this and the discount this could be really good for me!
Kinda want a 360 so I can play gears of war
Thats cool. Unfortunately fpr those bringing in systems are obviously getting the shaft.
I don't have faith in buying one of this pre owned systems if I needed a new PS3, it would save me time and hassle to buy a new PS3 instead.
Does this include the original PS3 that plays PS2 games?
With a new generation of systems almost on top of us, we will see a lot more deals like this. Believe it.
That's good news for people who want to get into video gaming and are willing to buy a used console; my first PS2 was going to be a used one. However, it's bad news for me as I'm done with PS3 gaming after finishing GTAV and want to unload it to help pay for the PS4. I might have to lower the price. Oh, well.
Yeah I'm the same way. Sold my PS3 the other day. Still not even sure if I'm going to pick up a console this next generation, as I hardly used the PS3 since I bought it at launch.
well thats great for anyon who wants one of those but i'm gud my ps3 is still in pristeen nick from what i can see and if i need another one i'll try get another ps3 slim 160 or 320 gig
happy gaming =)
preowned hardware, dear lord!
after seeing how preowned games are looked after and what condition there in, i dont want to think about what the poor hardwares been through!
if a brand new ps3 lasts only a few months before carking the laser or overheating, how longs a preowned one going to last!?
no thanks, ill buy my stuff new with extended warranty thank you very much.
little more expensive at the start, but the money you save down the line, not to mention the months you save yourself waiting to get your system back, is well worth the wait!
i remember the only time i had to send my 60GB in for repairs, took $ony THREE months to get it back to me!
every system after that i learned my lesson and bought extended warranty for it that way when it carks it i take it to EB and they replace it there and then for me, none of this 3 months later BS!
