In celebration of the 15th anniversary of the revered Gran Turismo franchise, we get a documentary that will chronicle the life of series creator Kazunori Yamauchi.
Entitled "KAZ: Pushing the Virtual Divide," the film will focus on Yamauchi's career as a professional racer, and then tackle his creation of Polyphony Digital and the award-winning driving IP. Here's part of the documentary's description:
" Through the support of PlayStation, Kaz's journey has forever changed the gaming and automotive landscape and in doing so, has redefined how we perceive the relationship between art, entertainment, and culture. "
Tamir Moscovici is directing the movie, and he has handled a variety of music videos, commercials and short films. We don't have a release date just yet, but we know it's "coming soon." Gran Turismo 6 will launch on December 6 exclusively for the PlayStation 3, and Yamauchi has said that GT7 on the PS4 will follow in only "a year or two." For those who actually know cars and racing, they will appreciate this documentary.

I'm actually looking forward to this. I love any doco about the videogame industry.
Do Kojima next, he's a freakin lunatic that'd be a great study.
looks great i can't wait to see it
happy gaming =)
Kaz has truly changed my life in 1998. I think most people don't realize what he has done for the auto industry, especially the rise of popularity of the JDM market in the 90s, let alone forever changing the barrier that a video game console can eventually lead realism to the point that it can scout talented drivers and use it to test out theories of real world driving.
I hope this documentary shows all that at the least, if not much more. He is also a very talented developer. He knows his stuff and loves technology. You'd be surprised on how much he knows about developing a game. He's not just a simple producer.
