Batman Arkham Bundle: Two Unbelievable Games For Only $50

If you missed out on the first two Batman titles by Rocksteady Games this generation, you're a deprived individual.

But you can remedy that lacking next week. GameStop has revealed a special bundle that features Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City . The Game of the Year version of each game is included and the cost is only $49.99; it will be ready to go on September 23. You up for it?

The GotY edition of Arkham Asylum boasts a Trioviz 3D mode, which is essentially a form of 3D viewing that is compatible with any TV, and extra challenge maps. The GotY version of Arkham City includes a bunch of DLC packs: Harley Quinn's Revenge, the Catwoman expansion, the Nightwing Bundle pack, the Robin Bundle pack, the Challenge Map pack, and the Arkham City Skins pack. Plus, there are three new characters. You'll definitely want to catch up on all this great content before Batman: Arkham Origins drops on October 25.

Two of the best games of the generation and a ton of extra goodies for $50. Damn good deal.

You need to keep a sharp eye on things, alongside carefully planning your gaming purchase schedule. The list saved in my mental HDD is set to acquire a set of games I can pick up for roughly $19.99 new (list price) with a queue of special interest titles (highest desired titles) in the case that I can afford them… The Special interest titles usually retail at $30 or above, list price. This system has allowed me to amass quite the collection without overwhelming my budget. The system runs like clockwork my friend, it just takes practice and planning.

I finally figured out why I can't play these, the battle system bugs me. I don't feel like Batman is much of a badass, more like a reactive slippery luchadore.

That is a very funny way of putting it World. I'll see about this as I play them, when I finally do. They've been added to my profile, and my semi-obsessive compulsive nature won't let me maintain a 0% that I can do something about, so I HAVE to do it anyway.

I've never been overly impressed by these games either. The combat especially. I will still probably buy this bundle when I find it on sale for like $20 though.
I don't own either of them and have not played the second one at all, so for $20 I will feel like I've gotten my money's worth out of them.

Much of them impresses me because they are good games with quality stuff but after selling Asylum and trying the demo of City I was trying to figure out why I got bored with it, and it's definitely that combat now that I think about it because it's a lot like what we had in Remember Me, which was very lacking.

Remember Me had a half decent battle system, bolstered by the strategy assigning the pressens. But there is no comparing those two series. There is much more depth in the Arkham games. In my opinion, Rocksteady created the absolute best melee system this generation. It is, to quote a few very overused terms on this site, vastly, head and shoulders above, and by far ahead of every other current gen game.

Umm, I'd already mentioned getting AA & AC for 30 bucks on Amazon. Both are GotY editions, so honestly (for me anyways…) 49.99 is a rip…

Also both Demon's and Dark Souls for the same price too. Gamestop has a habit of attempting to sell for as close to list price, so honestly I'd avoid going to them first unless you intend to buy used.

The Amazon deal (for the Arkhams at least…) is still going btw.

I was about to mention that, seems like a pointless bundle when buying both games separate is a much better deal. I even had to pay shipping and import taxes and it still didn't come up to $50.

I went for Super Saver Shipping considering the order was over $25 total. Sure you wait a little longer, but even if I paid for shipping the price still wouldn't have wen't past 40 by much. Also people that haven't done the Prime trial can start that and get free expedited shipping… Overall, it's like I always say… Don't go to Gamestop as your first choice, because there may be something better. I only go there for used titles, window shopping to see if my list needs to be updated, and unique pre-order bonuses provided I am in the market to pre-order something. Also, They can't go past list price on new games, so if the list price is 19.99, you can risk getting that game from Gamestop new. All in all, it's just a matter of being a wise/thrifty consumer.

really hope origins goes back to the AI style of asylum rather than city.
city was such a disappointment they just removed everything that made asylum so freaking awesome.
especially the cat and mouse gameplay with the enemies, why remove that?
thats what batmans about, playing on peoples fears and the myths of the dark night.
it was so much fun luring enemies into traps, than deliberately leaving dead bodies around so people see it and sh*t their pants.
in city you do that and instantly they magically know exactly where you are and instantly kill you.
hows that fun!?

Continuing with all these "I got it cheaper" trends I bought both games a couple of months ago for 24 bucks off steam. The graphics, oh God the graphics

no one should have missed out on either of these by now.

You'd be surprised Tem at the untapped audience. I only managed to get these games about a week before this post. Namely, I hardly ever have the chance to splurge as I have recently, but I always look for deals to maximize value. Since I just so happened to have the cash, I got four games new for the price of a launch title…
