Okay, so you don't have a Nintendo 3DS. Doesn't mean you have to miss out on certain great games.
Konami has confirmed that the 3DS title, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate , will come to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 31. It will, of course feature a high-definition upgrade. They can't confirm a PC version but series director Dave Cox said on Twitter that they're looking into it.
This game is a handheld spin-off of the critically acclaimed Lords of Shadow that released for consoles back in 2010. The 3DS iteration was relatively well-received, and we expect it to get even better when it comes to the PS3 and 360. Remember, Resident Evil: Revelations successfully made that transition and long-time RE fanatics were quite satisfied with the result. Here's hoping hardcore Castlevania fans get the same great treatment. They deserve it!
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is set to release for the PS3, 360 and PC in November. That one has serious promise.
Music to my ears. I loved Lords of Shadow when it was released in 2010. This will be perfect before Lords of Shadow 2 releases.
Give me.
Cash-in. And Lords of Shadow was critically panned.
wanted better than an 85% aggregate?
Aggregate doesn't really matter if the major sites were down on it.
meh
Mix-up World. Pretty much everyone loved LoS. Nobody really loved Mirror of Fate. 72% Aggregate.
@WorldEnds:
Could your opinions possibly be any more of of complete drain on people who frequent this site?
Never before have I seen a regular poster be more of a completely self absorbed, self important, egotistacal, cynical bastage.
You are in fact the one reason I willgo months without coming back to this site.
Everytime I return, here you fecking are.
I almost left the site permanently when Ben named you as one of the people he chose to contribute to PSXEXTREME.
You contribute absolutely nothing.
You hate every damn game you so "generously" share one of your asinine opinions about and I am so tired of it.
Guess what genius, an aggregate score of 85% for lords of shadow means it WASNT critically panned but somehow you seem to think that your opinion is greater than that of a general consensus in this case.
Maybe you should try to mentally go back to a to a time when you werent dead on the inside and remember what gaming is actually about…..having fun. Something that Castlevania Lords of Shadow gave in spades.
Pretentious prick.
eh, y am i not surprised?
the days of the third party exclusive really are behind us, especially when a first parties not footing the development bill!
hell even that does not stop things, M$ invested heavily in ME and that still did not stop it from coming to ps3!
im much more interested in CLoS 2.
i was really worried about this loosing the thing that made the original so great, its beautifully crafted complex combat.
but oh its still there in spades, after spending a good hour with it at PAX it was like i was back playing the original all over again!
its such a shame this is not a next gen title though, it really has such amazing awe striking vistas and locals, it really could have struck jaws with a little extra grunt.
now as it stands it looks barely better than the original, which already looked pretty average at the time it released.
