We all love Ratchet & Clank . What's not to love?
It was writer T.J. Fixman who helped to bring us the dynamic, amusing duo, and he has been with Insomniac for over seven years. But now, as revealed at his personal blog , Fixman says he has opted to pursue a career in screenwriting.
He has signed on to write for feature films like "One Night on the Hudson" as well as the upcoming "Ratchet & Clank" movie, which should be in theaters by 2015. Fixman was also recently offered future assignments at Disney and New Line, so he definitely has promising prospects.
Wrote Fixman:
"Now I'm tallying up hours in the day and figuring out how I'd be able to get my pages done on time, and it became immediately clear it was time to make the leap."
At the same time, he will continue to work with Insomniac to ensure that the team has everything they need for the upcoming title, Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus . So he says his relationship with the developer will continue, as will his involvement in the video game industry. But he just wants to branch out, obviously, and we wish him the best of luck.
Apologies on the Spielberg/Lucas thing. It seemed weird to me that they would say anything like that, and there was no link. My bad.
did new info come about?
Unfortunately the interwebs brings with it these issues. No worries.
Good luck to Mr Fixman, writers gotta keep writin.
It's pretty cool how he isn't leaving Insomniac completely, just branching out. I was afraid he would leave completely. I look forward to his work in the upcoming movie and game.
