We never like to hear news like this. So sad.
We've learned that Giant Bomb's Ryan Davis has passed away . He died on July 3 at the too-young age of 34.
I never knew Ryan personally but I'm sure this is a shocking loss to everyone involved at Giant Bomb, and gaming journalism has lost a decent guy. His friends obviously loved him; the article says Ryan "had an unconventional type of kindness that expressed itself more strongly the longer one knew him." Even more unfortunate is the fact that Ryan had recently married. Here's part of the statement concerning Ryan's life:
"In the face of this awfulness, many of us will at least always remember him as we last saw him: outrageously, uproariously happy, looking forward to his next adventure with the biggest grin his face could hold."
Tragically in life, these things happen. It's too bad that someone so young never got a chance to live a full life, and it's important to remember all the good he left behind. Provided we remember someone with a positive outlook, that memory will likely endure. RIP Ryan Davis.
Every day is a gift and each one could be our last. I'll say a prayer for Ryan's family. I hope people remember me fondly when this is all snatched away.
What did he die of?
Their is a lot to say just by judging at the picture.

This young lad was a gamer. I watched many of his videos on games. Good gamer. Nice guy. When he left gamespot to go to giant bomb I went with him. Gamespot is pretty cool now though.
Right sad and no mistake. It's sad when anyone passes, but at that age it'll be a hard blow to those around him.
I've never been closely associated with Giant Bomb. So in fact Mr. Davis's name didn't really ring much of a bell for me. I think I may have casually encountered his name in passing somewhere but that's about it. So I'm sorry to say but I didn't really know much about Mr. Davis if anything.
But even so someone passing away at 34 is really tough and my heart goes out to his friends and family.
