Levine On Bioshock Infinite DLC: Don’t Worry, It’s Coming

Of all the extra downloadable content that might arrive this year, we probably want the Bioshock Infinite DLC most .

Unfortunately, as was the case with the game, we have to accept that fact that quality takes time. We must be patient. Irrational Games creative director Ken Levine has offered an update on the upcoming DLC via Twitter and he politely asks everyone to understand the process.

"DLC Update: We are working on it–have been since the game shipped. Things are going well, but plz understand: game development takes time."

Levine wouldn't divulge any hints at this time but that's okay. When it comes to story-driven DLC, we prefer to remain in the dark. However, there have been rumors that the first batch of new content will feature a new AI companion, which sounds intriguing. If you've got the game, you might want to consider purchasing the $20 DLC Season Pass that will net you all three upcoming DLC packs. For a masterpiece like this, it's worth it.

I'm okay with them taking their time but it's always a super bad idea to keep utterly quiet about what is coming and when. I already paid up thinking that without a multiplayer component they would be somewhat far along in the DLC (everyone else seems to have it ready to go on day 1) so I'm not gonna complain about it not being ready straight away.

That said, something like a new AI partner would be the ultimate ripoff. I want a campaign like Minerva's Den.

I'm impatient enough to want at least a rough release window but Irrational has dome well by us, so far. They at least respected their customers enough to include everything they'd produced on the disk; no day-one DLC or bits and pieces carved out and sold seperately. It's not like Sleeping Dogs where you could have spent more on DLC than on the game itself.

I'd say TLOU beats out Infinite, but man, this has been a great year. One great game in Infinite and one straight up masterclass in game design in TLOU.

Hope Beyond, MGSV and GTA V brought their A game!

hate it when developers do this!
we know it takes time were not stupid!
were asking for a update, saying it takes time does not answer the question!
at least give us some screenshots or something.
