Insomniac's first multiplatform game is plenty promising, especially if you're into four-player co-op.
The latest Fuse trailer highlights the game's villains and heroes, the latter of which are obviously prepared to do whatever is necessary in the name of justice. Swift, brutal justice.
On display are quite a few intriguing and explosive set pieces, as well as a few interesting enemies (one that morphs). We also get a better look at each of the four Fuse members; each has his or her own distinctive specialty, and it's this feature that will appeal to multiplayer fans. There's also some of that patented Insomniac flair, something that I never want to see disappear. Granted, I wanted a new Resistance but admittedly, Fuse has a ton of promise.
Look for it on May 28.

Look for it August 28 when it'll be 29.99 everywhere.
That'd be awesome 🙂 I'd be able to get it alongside Tales of Xillia 😀
Yeah if it scores well and I ever find myself without a shooter (lol) maybe a cheap pickup is in order.
Is the market for 4 player co-op games really big enough for this to exist?
Please don't go bankrupt and fall apart as a company…
I have to say right at the get go this was designed to be a multiplayer/coop game. Still not seeing anything that grabs me. I am sure the game will be good and comparable. Question is are we going to see anything new or is it going to be familiar.
As much as I enjoyed Resistance 3, ending was a bit too easy, I am wondering if its not so much that insomniac is not producing a quality game but rather who is writing for it is not terrible good at writing an interesting story. Maybe the can write a game story based on the games they enjoyed over the years such as Splinter Cell, Team Fortress, etc. In the end I think they are catering to the market or what they believe is where the money is. The multiplayer/coop market. Maybe they are right? PS4 is focussing on social gaming and one would think that is closely connected to multiplayer/coop.
Nothing about it right now interests me from what I have seen, but I am sure game insiders know more than what they are allowed to tell. I guess we shall have to wait and see. But the trailers, which are to help sell the game and not just the name of the dev alone, do not to my opinion…. sell it.
I wish them them luck though as always because of the games they have given me over the years. This one is a miss for me.
Keep Playing!
I remember when movies had body counts. This trailer needs a snapped neck count
Why does this game just make me feel sad?
so cant wait for this its such a breath of fresh air!
a shooter that actually has a decent story, lots of quirky weapons and gameplay variety, lots of humor, and is quite unique in the gameplay and skill trees environments.
oh and lots of color, yay a shooter that has more than a grey and brown color palate!!!!!!!
sad that insomniac has gone MP, but if this is the result of a company going multiplatform than dam every company should jump ship!
shame its releasing around the same time as 100 other really good games!
nice to see insomniac still has not mastered the highly difficult skill of reading a freaking calendar!
sigh.
oh well, ted dont come b*tching to me when this sells really poorly!
and dont worry, ill be here saying i told you so………
I was still more interested in this game when it had the unique art direction that was present in the first trailer.
It looks like it could be fun for sure, but I dunno I think they should have been brave and just released it how they originally wanted it to look. Instead of listening to all the 12 year olds who said it looks like it was for kids.
Apparently those kids have never heard of TF2, and seen how violent that game is while still maintaining a 40s era cartoon aesthetic.
The trailer looks great but I'm always skeptical of trailers. They have lead me astray a couple of times, in both film and videogames.
