Rumor: Arkham Origins Multiplayer Pits Good vs. Evil

God of War didn't need it, and neither does Batman .

But it might be coming, anyway, like it or not. According to sources speaking to Kotaku , the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins will indeed include a multiplayer component.

It seems players will assume the role of a bad guy, becoming a member of of Joker's or Bane's gang. Then you will attempt to defeat Batman and Robin, if this information is accurate. Supposedly, other villains featured in the multiplayer include Killer Croc, Deadshot, Firefly, Black Mask, Deathstroke and "some kind of Electroman character." We had heard that Deathstroke was going to be in the game, but we just figured he'd be in the campaign. For now, there's nothing official that confirms multiplayer for Arkham Origins , but that news may come soon.

The new Batman effort is slated to arrive for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC on October 25. The protagonist is a younger, "unrefined" Batman who must sorta grow into his cape. Just remember that it's not being created by Rocksteady; the new Warner Bros. Montreal team is at the helm. Cross your fingers!

God of War and now Batman: Arkham. I guess it's becoming impossible to release a SP-only game these days. Ironically, the SP-only GoW3 outsold Ascension by a crap-load. Everything has to cater to the CoD goons these days, and with social media becoming one of the major selling points of the next generation of gaming consoles, I'm once again feeling that urge to sign off and call it a day. I'm in no hurry for a PS4 at this point; I'm in no hurry for MP-only games, Facebook updates, consoles that are always on and ever-increasing micro transactions.

Except that gow is not really competing with the cod crowd. What cod fan wants to play a brawler? No one really. It is a good add on to it and it reminds me of power stone and the recently release anarchy reigns. Both were good brawlers.
