Evidence continues to mount that Gran Turismo 6 is coming to the PlayStation 3.
The latest evidence comes from an Italian retailer , which has listed GT6 as a PS3 title with a release date of November 29, 2013. Mark the calendar…?
The date wouldn't surprise anyone, and it wouldn't surprise us to learn that GT6 is a "cross-generation" title, either. Being one of Sony's most important franchises, especially in terms of driving new hardware sales over the years (remember what Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec did for the PS2 in 2001), one would like to assume that GT6 would hit the PS4. Of course, if that's the case, you can bet that a lot of racing enthusiasts will suddenly consider an immediate PS4 purchase.
One can only wonder what the new Gran Turismo will look like on the PS4. The series is also known for setting visual benchmarks, so…

I understand sony will want as many sales as possible and thats why we are going to have cross generation games. But in my opinion I think the smarter move would be to keep this ps4 exclusive. Im sure a lot of people would just buy gt6 for ps3… shame this would be a huge system seller. Not anymore. Wouldnt it of made more sense to maybe make drive club cross generation since its a new ip? Gt6 is already a huge established franchise that sells in the millions that would sell 100, 000+ ps4 on gt6 launch. I dont think people will by ps4 for drive club. But what do i know..

Maybe Polyphony will make port of GT6 for PS4 6 months to a year after the console launches.
It doesn't necessarily need to be a launch title to move PS4s.
Besides, business-wise it makes perfect sense.
Sony wouldn't want to kill DriveClub's potential sales by placing that game head to head with GT6 on the same system and have to worry about DriveClub suffering from being trapped under the long shadow GT casts.
Drive Club and KZ4 are the 2 games I want the most right now for PS4.
I am a big GT5 fan though and would probably buy GT6 for PS3 if that is the only platform available.
@SayWord
Don't worry sony is doing it right. Driveclub is new and different, while the developer has ps3 experience a ps3 version of Driveclub will pretty much need to be done from scratch while grand turismo has been done on the ps3 so they already have a 5 year head start on gran turismo 6.
Now the question is, will gt6 have a ps4 version? Or will the ps4 have something like gt7?
If anything, I'll be surprised if this is a cross gen game coming November 2013. If it's going to be sometime late 2014 or later, I might say, "sure, it's possible." Again, this would be different hadn't Sony shown us a a fully licensed racer as an exclusive on Feb. 20th.
If it's going to be cross gen, releasing the PS4 version a year later is pointless in my opinion. It would be better if they would take an extra year, and just make it GT7, so then we'd get a GT game built from ground up for the PS4. This means 2 years after GT6 PS3 launch, and with the ease of the PS4, 2 years is probably enough to make another GT title.
And like some of you guys say, the PS4 could probably use another sales boost 2 years after launch.
I'll buy GT6 for PS3 and PS4 if it comes for both systems, I have no problem showing my love for this franchise by buying it twice.
Right on lol. Same here.
If gt6 is using the gt5 engine then theres little to no chance that this is getting a PS4 launch.
In the words of Homer Simpson "OhmyGodohmyGodohmyGodOHMYGOD!!!
retailer listings mean jack!
retailers get listings wrong all the time, GAME has in the past listed quite a few 360 exclusives for ps3 such as conviction, alan wake, and too human.
same things happened with ps3 titles, how many times did rumors leak about MGS4 being ported to the 360?
i really cant see GT6 releasing this year.
PD take their sweet dam time making games!
i really cant see it being a cross gen game either, PD are perfectionists there not going to waste their time making a game then dumbing it down for the ps3, or vise versa.
not to mention it would be stupid to put drive club up against GT, i mean that is the perfect thing to do if you want to kill the franchise before it even starts!
we wont be seeing GT6 till probably late next year, gives PD a little more time to perfect the game, learn the ins and outs of the ps4, and gives drive club enough time to work its magic.
the PS4 needs to launch in time for COD MW4 – even COD haters know this game is a system seller – it would be madness to miss the selling frenzy that is COD release week.
