Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Goes Comically Retro With New Site

We had heard about about "Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon" last month, and Ubisoft lead writer Jeffrey Yohalem even hinted that he was penning the script for this new project.

So the game is probably real…we just have to wonder if the new website isn't a big April Fool's joke. As you can see, it's an 80s-themed site complete with a teaser video and some story information. And you just have to love the description of the plot:

"The year is 2007. It is the future. Earth has been ravaged by a nuclear war and new paths for peace must be found. A U.S. cyborg army may have found a solution: a powerful bioweapon on a distant island. A Mark IV Cyber Commando, Sergeant Rex Power Colt has been sent over to gather information and figure out what the hell is going on."

Evidence of Blood Dragon does exist but this might represent a humorously twisted truth. Then again, the idea of a retro Far Cry does sound appealing in some capacity, wouldn't you say? I also miss the outlandish corny cheese-ball stories from yesteryear, too; something more innocent about them, I suppose. We'll have to see if Ubisoft confirms this game some time soon; perhaps later today or tomorrow.
