LucasArts Confirms Next-Gen Lego Star Wars

LucasArts and Traveller's Tales certainly have a good thing going with the likes of the Lego Star Wars franchise, so it's no real surprise to see them confirm a next-gen installment. Last week, LucasArts announced that Star Wars: The Complete Saga would be coming to the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and DS.

If you're wondering why it's called "The Complete Saga," it's because the title will include the first two Lego Star Wars games, so on the surface, it sounds like a simple port. But don't worry fans, there's a little more here. The developer will give us new characters, gameplay features, and even a couple new levels in the game, including a section dedicated to the now-classic flying-car chase in Episode II. They also make it clear they'll be developing the DS version "brick by brick from the ground up."

As for the 360 and PS3 versions, they're going to feature online play, and of course, it goes without saying the Wii version will likely feature motion sensing. LucasArts plans to deliver Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga some time this fall.
