EA Officially Announces FIFA 08

We all figured this was coming, but now it's official: EA has announced that FIFA 08 will be coming this fall to just about every platform imaginable.

The Spanish box will boast Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos, and the German box will sport Werder Bremen's Miroslav Klose. We don't yet know who will be on the cover for the UK and U.S. versions, but we do know FIFA 08 will feature full motion capture, ensuring that "body movements, individual moves and the playing style of each athlete is captured and digitized to become the life-like movement of the virtual players in future versions of EA's FIFA games."

"We are proud to call some of the world's best football athletes our partners," said Joe Booth, senior produce for the title. "The access, guidance and insight they give us means that FIFA 08 will create a next-gen experience that not only looks authentic, but that captures the emotion, finesse and beauty of the game."

As expected, FIFA 08 will be available for just about every platform out there. It's coming for the PS3, PS2, PSP, Xbox 360, Wii, DS, and PC, so if you even own one gaming machine, you'll probably be able to play it. We'll bring you more details as they become available.
