Ben-DutkaWe usually don't report on weekly sales charts, but this update is plenty significant. After all, it's not every day that Call of Duty: Black Ops II gets knocked off its lofty perch.
After six consecutive weeks of being at the top of the UK sales charts , the latest CoD iteration has fallen…to Ubisoft's critically acclaimed Far Cry 3 .
This occurred in the very last week of 2012 so that's kinda cool. Interestingly enough, Black Ops II fell a notch further to #3 as FIFA 13 claimed the runner-up spot. Hitman: Absolution and Need for Speed: Most Wanted rounded out the top five, and it's always fun to see a LEGO game in the top 10; LEGO Lord of the Rings landed at #9. It's good solid family fun, and features loads of longevity.

Glad to see "The Game" finally being dethroned. Hopefully game devs see what is happening with the call of duty line and keep things unique, nothing worse then watching developer interviews and hear them talk about how they're trying to imitate cod aspects.

I have to say after seeing some videos on youtube of Far Cry 3's gameplay, I'm honestly surprised. It looks far better than the previous installment, though I still notice some silly things that happen in the game. But either way, I think I'd have to choose it over BLOPS2 for sure!

i wish ubisoft would release a expansion pack for it, release a new island with a few new missions and maybe some new gear to unlock.

3 times you come back with the ingredients, and 3 times its the wrong stuff.
seriously, when are developers going to understand fetch quests ARE NOT FUN!
