There are all sorts of iconic PlayStation characters, and many of them already have a rightful place in SuperBot Entertainment's fun, colorful brawler, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale .
But we can always use more fighters, right? So how's about Abe from the esteemed Oddworld franchise? …yeah, we think it could be a little weird, too, which is maybe why the devs are dragging their feet on bringing Abe into the fray.
As reported at PlayStation LifeStyle , bringing the bizarre, sympathetic hero to Battle Royale is something they're "still working on." We're just wondering what Abe would do when throwing down against the likes of Kratos, Sweet Tooth, Drake, Ratchet, and Cole. I distinctly recall Abe's ability to possess enemies from afar; that could be an interesting ability…if it wasn't classified as cheating.
So what do you think? Abe in PlayStation All-Stars …?
He certainly could cut the cheese with the best of them. I'm sure a whiff of flatulence will stun any enemy. Maybe he could take control of a nearby character and force him to attack another character for 5 seconds. There's plenty of attacks "good natured" Abe could do.
I'd be all for Abe being in All Stars, my only problem is seeing how they could get him to fight… Abe was a frail little thing in the game.
But I'm still waiting on Crash Bandicoot.
Would love to see Crash Bandicoot in the game.
Maybe even Spyro?
Same can be said about sackboy and parappa. The developers work closely with Superbot and give them the options of what to use for attacks.
Spyro and Crash have been A-listers for this game before a trailer was even released. But you will not blame SuperBot, but the douches at Activision who refuse to give up the rights to the character. Even then, they'd most likely give us Skylanders Spyro, which is maybe worse than no Spyro at all.
Abe's got a wicked "below the belt" fart bomb.
Abe Lincoln instead, with his axe.
Abe can slap em in the face, throw rocks at them, he could bring is "friends" scrabs and paramonian.
Easy, all he has to do is chant and he'll possess other characters in battle if he isn't stopped. That alone sounds like a great and unique ability in the game.
they have a point, id be really hard to think of fair tasteful attacks for him.
hes skinny and frail so him in a fighting game would be like going to see your grandmother in the nursing home, and walking in to find out shes the new star for the next bond film!
chanting would be a really unfair and boring ability too, specials are already frustrating and annoying let alone adding one to take control away from players.
i HATE it when games do that, especially kart racers when they switch controls so everything is the opposite it just gets really annoying.
though on second thought, unfair unbalanced gameplay is superbots specialty so i guess this is not such a bad idea…….

How about some even rarer characters like Vahn from Legend of Legaia or Dart from Legend of Dragoon??? Of course Spyro and Bandicoot need to enter the fray as well but I'd like to see more classical characters from the ps1 era fight.
