Motomu Toriyama has also confirmed that the protagonist will be getting an overhaul for her last adventure. It's apparently more about the clothing than her physical appearance, though.
According to Nova Crystallis , the new-look Lightning will be revealed in Japanese magazines this week, and one source has already leaked a few details: The new design, handled by Tetsuya Nomura, apparently features black armor, which covers her upper body, and a body suit that covers her legs. It also seems she'll be wearing "elements of a classic White Mage's outfit, including a white cape and red gloves." She'll carry a shield on her left arm and she'll boast a new sword, too; it'll be more…colorful, evidently.
Well, that's nice. An action game really should have a main character that looks cool, don't you think?

Nope, if there's nothing else good about the game we should at least see some skin.
If you reduce the dpi to like 72ppi on your avatar before reducing the resolution it shouldn't get that shimmery-artifacted look while being so small =)
I don't know what that means, I never shrank it. Ben just needs to make it bigger. I see you got the shrinky dink treatment too.

On my browser (firefox latest) your Avatar is as tiny as mine. Half inch tall and 1 inch wide.

If you are using Chrome, right click on WorldEndsWithMe's avatar, select "open image in new tab", go to that tab and reload. Then you'll see his new avatar.
But World, it really is just to upload a new avatar in the right size.
I did upload one in a decent size, I specifically created it for this site. How it got halved isn't on my end 🙂

I know I am a pilgrim in an unholy land when I say I am looking forward to this game. Can't wait to see some pics of her new look. Also intrigued by the changes they are promising. Lightning rocked in XIII. It also marks the end of XIII which I know all of you are happy about. I wonder what they will do next, XV?

I also like Lightning but World for me she's not a lesbian, I'd like to think of her as a strict woman, liked a beautiful conservative strict lady samurai in most anime. Also remember the scene in XIII, where they stop for a rest before continuing to Taejin's Tower, that scene showed Lightning's fragility, she let her guards down in that scene even if it just for a little. I loved that scene, it's lightning soft side. I think that's the only scene Lightning cried. Hehe. But I still remember her outfit in the Prada collection. Stupid Square Enix. I just don't see her as a lesbian in that game.

Really a new costume for Lightning! I am really excited right now. I can say that this is now a shoo-in for game of the year…………….
First of all, duh. Secondly, I guess everyone forgot about the fact her clothes are going to be 100% customizable. I swear you guys have terrible memory and it's gotten worse since I first signed up to this site years ago…
