Okay, so Max Payne 3 has been out for a while. The game still rules, doesn't it? And don't you want an excuse to go back and revisit? Sure you do.
Rockstar Games has announced a new piece of downloadable content, dubbed Painful Memories. It will launch next week for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. It can be purchased separately for $10 but if you've already got the Rockstar Pass (which cost $30), you can snag this for free.
Painful Memories includes four new maps (Roscoe Street Subway, Marty's Bar, Shoot First, and Canal De Panama) for the game's multiplayer. Plus, we'll get some new weapons – the IMG 5.56 and UAR-21 assault rifles – and new avatars and items. Among the latter is the Hangover Burst, which "causes enemies to respawn with fuzzy vision, and reduced stamina and health." …aptly named, yes? This is the fourth expansion for the critically acclaimed Max Payne 3 ; Local Justice, Hostage Negotiation and Disorganized Crime have already arrived, and the fifth (and last) pack, Trickle Down Economics, will show up "at a later date."
If you missed the title in question, add it to your holiday wish list. It really is very good. And lotsa fun.

Dang, "Painful Memories" had me thinking single player.
yup, I just picked the game up Thursday, & as a SP mode player, I'd definitely love to see R* add in some SP mode DLC's
Just out of curiosity, does this game come with an online pass? It's one I am considering getting.
Nope.
Interesting, thanks. I have seen it go for a good price pre-owned but was cautious as I know R* have that Social Club.
