According to TakuChat citing a recent FF Dream interview with Square Enix's Julien Merceron, we find out a few things about Lighting Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and the mysterious Final Fantasy Versus XIII .
In relation to Lightning Returns , it seems that it will utilize elements from the previous two installments in the mini-series. But even more interesting is the apparent fact that it will also take advantage of Versus XIII elements… Okay, we'll leave that alone for now. As far as the evidently nonexistent Versus XIII is concerned, Merceron stated that it's "very ambitious" (hence the lengthy delay) and when it finally arrives, "people will be happy to have waited." Oh, and in the Too Obvious To Even Acknowledge category, Merceron added that Lightning Returns will be a lot different than FFXIII or FFXIII-2. Well, thanks. We got that.
But what's this about telling us Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be worth the wait? The game doesn't exist. It just doesn't. We've figured this out by now, haven't we? Well, I have, at any rate.

Well what the heck. If Lighting Returns releases in 2013, when the heck will Versus release? This was my most anticipated game after GT this generation and that now belongs to MGS Ground Zero easily.

Let's hope it's worth the wait. I won't be buying any SE titles unless on Handhelds.
Ye ye SE, we already know how awesum its gonna be youve been teasing us for 7 years almost nw. Jus release the damn game before working on new projects.
I still think they're secretly saving Versus for the PS4…with a delay to make the switch…I hope so!
You know what the problem is? Everyone wants everything NOW NOW NOW!! Once they're good and ready to release more info and release the game is when it's good and ready. Just saying that it doesn't even exist is extremely ignorant and stupid of anyone to claim. Everyone just needs to stop getting their panties in a bunch and shut up. Just getting mad about how it isn't here NOW NOW NOW isn't gonna help, and neither will considering it non-existent.
I really hope this game comes out before PS3 loses it's prime position.
