It wouldn't surprise anyone if Infinity Ward was working on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 . But either they're not, or they don't want to admit it just yet.
If you didn't know, actor Bill Murray has played Captain price in the last two Modern Warfare iterations. And in a recent This Is Xbox interview , Murray apparently confirmed the existence of MW4:
"Yeah, on Monday I am off to meet Infinity Ward about the next game, Modern Warfare 4, I’m doing work on the sequel to Modern Warfare 3, it carries straight on and I only ever appear in the Modern Warfare games…"
Cool, right? Well, the developer isn't ready to play ball. After seeing the headlines, Infinity Ward posted up the following Tweet :
"Interesting news today, but it’s not true. We’ve not talked with any voice actors, so all news is speculation."
Okay, so who's telling the truth? Would there be any incentive for Murray to lie? Is he thinking about another game? Given that much detail, it doesn't seem likely…or is he actually thinking he'll be working on MW4 when in fact, it's an all-new CoD from Infinity Ward? Hard to say at this point.
Don't know don't care. That ghost buster is in the CoD series? I never knew that.
I didn't either and I remember Price as one of the better characters.
Different Bill Murray. I'm a fan of the series and I had to look it up because I was confused. I guess there is a British Bill Murray and he is the one that plays captain price.
That's anti-climactic. There is only ONE Bill Murray.
It's CoD MW5 not 4, duh!
What's the weather like in the future?
The bigger question is why do they keep pretending that games which are certainly coming may NOT be in the works just because they haven't announced it yet? I think we all know by now where this is going, there's no need to pretend.
Probably just don't want to announce their next next game before their next game comes out. The video game gods would smite them. Video games gods know they're already on the watchlist.
It's annoying, I think even the Game Gods are just absentmindedly waiving the back of their hands at the mention of the next CoD these days.
Well since it's coming out Nov. of next year I do believe Mr. Murray. Otherwise you can pretty much bet that the game will just be a quick rehash of MW3.
Well you can probably already expect that anyway….

Like they don't want to print more money….Okay.
I dunno – Price without Soap is just somehow wrong
