Darksiders II really is a great game. It just has an unfortunate tendency to break; little annoying bugs and glitches are all too common.
However, the fans were vocal about such issues and developer Vigil Games has listened. According to a new forum post by a THQ community manager, a new update patch for the highly regarded sequel will be coming soon . Ideally, we'll see it this month.
As you can see, the changelog is full of bug fixes, such as Death accidentally falling through the world during boss fights within Argul's Tomb, and various issues that involve Death, Constructs, or Construct balls getting stuck. Reading through the list, it's clear that the game suffers from more than its fair share of infuriating problems; I'm familiar with a few myself. One of the most vexing involved a puzzle in The Nook; you drop a couple spike gates to allow a Construct ball to come down a ramp, which you then use to open a door. …sadly, I had no ball.
There were also multiple times when I very nearly got stuck or the game almost froze or something downright silly happened. So yeah, this patch is necessary. Game still rules, though.

That's those pesky deadlines; THQ needed some revenue quick.
yay lets fix a game 2 months later than most people who actually cared about have already platinumed and moved on!! woot!! lol
…not everyone has the kind of spare time you do.
I havent even played DS2, as I have no interest but I can assure you everyone whos had interst and cares about trophies had it done within the first month of release, the fact that a platinum guide and roadmap popped up as fast as it did on ps3trophies proves that point for me.
As for not everyone having the spare time that I do, hmm lets see, 8 hours for work and 8 hours for sleep… that leaves 8 extra hours in the day for "extracurricular" activities, so yes just about everyone DOES have the kinda spare time that I do… they choose choose to spend it in different ways than I would.

You really need to stop lecturing me on everything you think you know.
Few people I know in the real world work only 8 hours a day. My father hasn't worked less than 60 hours a week since he was 16. And if they do only work 8 hours a day, there's no chance they have the other 8 to just do whatever they like. There are other responsibilities such as family, which you obviously are not familiar with.
There will always be hardcore gamers out there who have FAQs and guides up immediately. I was one of them when I had virtually nothing to do in college. But things change. So you can understand we get miffed when we have to listen to people like you who apparently have little to do, going, "gee, what's the problem?"
If you honestly believe people have 8 hours of free time every day, you my friend don't live in the real world.

Of course duo you have to get to work, then back home from work, clean the house, cook your own meals unless you eat fast food in which case have fun with diabetes, then there are friends and family, appointments people have school, hobbies like martial arts or other sports etc.
Maybe you teleport to work and dont have to eat?
I would rather them patch this game now for people who end up getting the game down the line then just say oh well too bad we made our money lets just start on something else. That is what activision does and that is what sets companies I like apart from companies I want to go burn 😛
stop lecturing you? Im sorry but I believe YOU opened the door for "lecture" when you made a comment like "…not everyone has the kind of spare time you do."
Of course not EVERYONE does, which is why i said "MOST PEOPLE who actually cared" and "just about everyone" you're the one who generalized and make a blanket statement using "everyone", not I.
Plenty of people I know work only 40 hours a week AND have the free time to spend the extra 8 hours how they want, infact I only know two people that work more than 40 hours a week, one of which is my dad. My uncle works 40 hours a week, makes 85k a year so is living quite comfortably, and he doesnt even go out, he literally spends all his free time sittig (or laying) on his butt sleeping most the time, another friend works 12 hour days but 40 hours total which gives his 3 -4 days a week off, pays his own bills and has his own place.. guess how he spends his free time? sitting on his butt eating fast food and playing his xbox), heck Ive never even seen him take the time to clean his house, infact it gets so bad sometime when I go over ILL volunteer to clean it myself cause I cant stand the sight of it lol.
What do these two people have in common? They both live alone and are single so yeah they dont have anything weighing them down to stop them from spending their free time as they see fit
and then theres me, I dont have my OWN place as Im not single, but mmy names on the lease and Im paying bills, 10 mins to work and 10 mins back, so thats 20 mins, I dont cook and when I eat I do so while gaming 90% of the time, so thats not really cutting into my free time, 2 hours a day cleaning so that leaves me with 6 hours free a day instead of 8. laundry only need to be done once a week, the only other necessity is grocery shopping which is only done once a month and paying bills which I do online and it takes minutes.
My significant other is a gamer too (id have to be real desperate to date someone that wasnt) so aside from the maybe once a week occasion where wed go to dinner and a movie, and annual events like comicon/animeexpos or Final Fantasy concerts (yup been to those twice, even went to an FFXI convention once), other than that our free time is spent gaming together. So yeah I have a family to deal with, we just have similar interests so it usually doesnt require reshuffling my interests to take part in their from time to time. So yeah if i was stuck with someoen who wasnt a gamer THEN yes youd be right Id most likely have to spend less of my free time gaming and moreso doing whatever it is they like.
Point being, SOME of us that work 40 hours a week indeed DO have the other 8 (or in my case 6) to do as they please
So again those who CARED about DS2 have most likely already platinum (and if they dont care about trophies then theyve at least already beaten it) and move don and I would know this because those who dont care (i.e the less hardcore and more casual) should have more important things/high obligations to attend to the spending their 65 bucks on a game on day one that by the time they can get around to really playing it its dropped in price anyway, are probably getting it NOW so this patch was meant for them.
But Im sure those standing in line at a midnight launch or got it on day 1 are done with it, moved to other things and its collecting dust on a shelf (or been traded in after they finished) and so for them this patch is just "too little too late"
Dude, seriously, just can it. You basically just said you've got a bunch of lazy-ass people in your family who don't do sh** and are single, and hence, they stare at a video screen all day. Sounds to me like you're one of them.
Congrats. All I said was that not everyone has the spare time you did. That's it. And because you never miss an opportunity to try and correct me, you tried to correct something that you only proved in the long run, anyway.
Now, SHUT IT.

Woah….. who the hell is this guy. LOL.
No one really cares about other peoples life stories.
It is obvious that you live at home with your parents, so I am sure you have a spare 56 hours a week to game.
Since we are telling life stories, I work 40 hours a week, spend 2 hours a day in public transport, and have a house to look after as well as a girlfriend. I only have saturdays and about 10 hours TOTAL during the week.
I don't believe I am unique in this aspect, in fact I think I still have too much free time on my hands compared to other people.
Oh and I AM one of those people who loved DS2, and whos completionist mentality compelled me to get the platinum, unfortunately I really haven't had the chance to sit down and grind away at the game fully, and a few hours here and there really isn't enough.
EDIT: ahahaha Ben nailed it.

@Akuma, stick to fighting because clearly reading comprehension isnt your strong point. When you master that art THEN we can talk.
@Ben nope Im "my world" lazy people are the ones over 21, who dont work, live with their parents, gf/bf/wife/husband who pay all he bills while they just sit around all day and get a free ride, or living on government assistance, not because theyre basically or mentally unable to work, but just because they know they can get away with it. THOSE are the lazy people. However if your name is on a mortgage or lease and bills are coming to that house everyday in your name, and its getting paid with the money you bust your ass 40+ hours a week to make, then youre not lazy, what you choose to do with what little (or lot) of spare time you have left over is your business, even if that was lay in bed and touch yourself all day, I wouldnt condone it, but I could respect the decision as youve EARNED that right, and its YOUR house so if I dont like it I can get the hell out, simple as that.
So tl;dr version Lazy people have 24 hours free time a day, the REST of us, do not.
I still find it amazing that to this day no patch has ever been released for the first darksiders
I know a lot of Darksiders 2 players are probably done with the game and are a little upset with the fact this is a little late. However, it is cool to see them support their game. I for one do not own this gem since I haven't finished Darksiders yet. I will get to it and it's great to know when I do buy Darksiders II that it will be a great experience as well as a great game.
I dont have the game yet
I'm really lucky I actually only encountered 1 bug the entire playthrough and it was a freeze after playing the game for a looong long time.
I glitched one part at the beginning but I was trying to get somewhere I wasn't supposed to so I dont count that. Otherwise I had NO problems. Not saying they didn't exist but I must have lucked out.
Really one of my favourite games this year, if only the story had of had more weight to it. Heres to hoping Darksiders 3 really piles on the narrative.
added a puzzle or 2 a 2 year old would struggle to finish too?
no?
pass.
god, this was a bigger disappointment than GTAIV, ME3, RE5, RE6 and GOW3 put together!
never thought id be saying that!
