FF XIII And Dissidia: The Life Of The Party?

Is everyone ready? The Square-Enix Party 2007 kicks off this weekend, and we've all been wondering what might come out of this anticipated event. The publisher has already announced several new games in the past few weeks, including Final Fantasy Dissidia for the PSP and the emergence of a brand new next-gen RPG series, The Last Remnant – but we weren't sure which of these we'd learn more about.

Well, the whispers are already starting to permeate the 'Net well ahead of the Party's start time, and among them is the following news: The Last Remnant wasn't mentioned, but Square-Enix has announced that they'll present new information, details, and/or media for the following three titles: the Final Fantasy IV 3D remake for the Nintendo DS, Final Fantasy Dissidia , and yes, Final Fantasy XIII ! We haven't heard much about XIII since some baseline info and early pics popped up late last year, so we can't wait to see what gets unveiled this weekend.

Now, there is also another rumor: Square-Enix has one final mystery announcement that is supposedly slated to close out the Party. Everybody and their mother has speculated as to what that might be, or even if it exists, but it has gotten plenty of RPG fans intrigued. …dare we hope it's that Final Fantasy VII remake we've all wanted? The one that gets revamped with PS3 or "Advent Children" style graphics? Unfortunately, that's highly unlikely, but we can hope, can't we?

Keep it here to see what that mystery announcement might be, and also for any of the new info and details concerning those awesome upcoming FF titles.
