Unfortuantely, not everyone can be in the Olympic Games. Not everyone can even attend the Olympic Games.
So it stands to reason that other ways of experiencing the world's biggest sports competition might just be popular when the Games are in full swing.
As revealed by the latest Chart-Track stats , Olympic-related titles snagged two of the top three sales slots in the UK. Don't forget that the Olympics are being held in London, so…yeah, kinda makes sense.
London 2012: The Official Video Game of the Olympic Games is in the top spot, LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes comes in second, and Mario & Sonic London 2012 Olympic Games rounds out the top three. Sales of the #1 seller were up 25% this past week, thanks to the start of the Olympics; the game isn't great, but it's certainly better than the Beijing 2008 effort, which was downright atrocious. If you want to get into the spirit of the Games, and you've got some willing friends, you might want to give it a try. It can be really fun with another person.
Rounding out the top 5 for last week's UK software sales were Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and Batman: Arkham City .
I'll try to rent the Olympic game
LOL..why? I'm sure it's a waste of time like every olympic game before it.
yea, "waste of time" video games are the only kinds I like 😉
