Okay, so the superhero parade continues on.
Well, in this case, anti-hero…not long after Activision launched a countdown site at DeadpoolGame.com, the new project became the focus of a Comic-Con panel , in which the title was confirmed for 2013.
The game is currently in development at High Moon Studios, which we find encouraging. The talented team has already produced several great games this generation, including Kung Fu Panda and a few Transformers productions, including the critically acclaimed War for Cybertron . They showed off a trailer, too, which you can view below. It's pretty funny and well worth watching.
We'll have to be on the lookout for future details. Although I'm a little tired of this obsession with comic book characters over the past decade or so, the fixation has resulted in some decent pieces of entertainment.
This looks like it would be fun to play. Love his humor too
that is awesome that they are using Nolan North as the voice of Deadpool. i thought he did an awesome job as Deadpool in the wolverine vs hulk movie.
Who is Deadpool again? I just wish High Moon would give us another Darkwatch.
deadpool was created in the weapon program that wolverine was in that gave him the metal claws. he is a smart mouth assassin that knows he is in a comic book. he has high level regeneration mutant powers that allow him to even reattach severed limbs. he usually carries big guns and big swords.
check out hulk vs wolverine on netflix for a good movie staring Nolan North as him.
Good to know, so far I only knew he was in the X-men universe and there would be a movie about him that might not suck (Rated R).
Deadpool was also the main bad guy of the wolverine origins movie. ryan reynolds played him before being turned and then he was played by that bad ass guy that does all the stunts when he was weapon 11. forget that guys name but he was also darth maul and the white ninja in G I joe. he has been in a ton of movies.
I'm sorry but the deadpool in the wolverine movie was Not Deadpool. Worst movie adaptation of a character ever.
Darkwatch was one of my favourite PS2 games! I'm so glad to see a fellow fan, World! 🙂
if you think of him as weapon xi instead of deadpool at that point it kind of works. i agree with you that i did not like what they did with him at the end of the movie. i thought it was lame he wasnt talking and they could have done much more with the character.
also i think the lady deathstrike movie adaptation in x2 was much worse than the deadpool one.

It was actually Scott Adkins that played Weapon XI in the Origins Movie. Adkins wasn't in G.I. Joe at all either. He was in the last two Undisputed Movies though as Yuri Boyka which are pretty good action flicks. He's in the Expendables 2 and was in the Bourne Ultimatum. lol sorry I just like the guy as an action star and wanted to make sure he got his credit.
I have a Darkwatch badge on my leather jacket 🙂 "Death fears those who wear the badge"
yea you guys are correct. i forgot he was actually the black ninja. i would have wrote snake eyes but i couldnt remember what his name was. ray parks actually was toad in the first xmen movie. that was where i had him confused. parks also played edgar in heroes. my mistake though, should have checked my facts. i just associated parks with xmen
All that's left is a Deadpool movie, seriously this guy deserves more than he's getting now.
Wasn't Deadpool the guy in Xmen Origins: Wolverine that didn't have a mouth? Forgive me, but I've never really been into comic books. If Deadpool's character has always been a funny wise-cracking bad guy, then it makes me kind of sad that he couldn't talk in that movie.
that movie was kind of his origin also. the character stryker (brian cox) sewed his mouth shut as kind of a punishment for always being a smart mouth. as he was wade wilson (ryan reynolds who was perfect for the role) before hand and never shut up. at the end of the movie after the credits he is seen still alive with his mouth open.
I like Ryan Reynolds, decent wise-cracking in Blade Trinity. Green Lantern was a sad sad case.
i agree world, i watched green lantern when i rented it from the library and lets just say i was glad i got to see it for free. it was boring and just dragged on.
Deadpool is one of my favorite comic book characters of all time. Him and Spider-Man so I'm loving the idea of a Deadpool game and the trailer looks as though they might do him justice, but Activision has epicly failed to produce a true quality Spider-Man game in years, so I'm hesitant to get very excited.
Do Deadpool right and this could be one of the greatest games of 2013. Do it wrong, it'll be one of the worst.
sweet!
i actually really enjoyed the boss battle against him in origins wolverine so this should be interesting.
i wish they would do another xmen game too, this time do what crapcom is doing with RE6 and pick 3 or 4 characters and design a full out campaign for them!
i loved the last xmen game, im really surprised there has not been a follow up especially considering how well it did both critically and financially.
Wasn't the last X-Men game "X-Men: Destiny"?
ah yes it was.
forgot about it never had a chance to play it.
but if i remember right it was from silicon knights which, well, i dident miss out on much.
id love to see rocksteady or even high moon studios get to work on a new xmen game.
Hmmm… This looks very much like your typical Marvel game to me.
Ever since the first Ultimate Alliance I think they've more or less only delivered pretty generic games aimed at the younger demographics.
Regrettably.
I really, really wish Marvel could dare to step out of the mass market analysis formulas their games are based on and dare take some risks with their game concepts.
