If you don't know what a "shmup" is, just say it a few times to yourself…draw out the word and you'll probably get it.
Revealed for the PlayStation Vita at E3, Digital Reality and Grasshopper Manufacture have announced that arguably one of the best "shmups" of the generation, Sine Mora , is coming to the PlayStation Network.
It was well received when it launched for the Xbox Live Arcade and soon, PSN users will be enjoying the "laser spray, bullet-time madness, insane power-ups and epic boss battles." Said Digital Reality director of publishing Balázs Horváth:
"After having an extremely successful launch on Xbox LIVE Arcade and revealing the Vita version at E3 to much appraise, we’re as excited as ever to bring the experience to yet another platform. More important than anything, we created something we love, and we know Sine Mora be loved yet again on PlayStation 3."
Dubbed a "dieselpunk" shooter that should appeal to both hardcore and casual gamers alike, Sine Mora features over 60 combinations of planes, characters and time manipulation devices, and also boasts a fantastic musical score composed by Silent Hill veteran Akira Yamaoka. Legendary anime director Mahiro Maeda helped design the set pieces and boss fights; you've seen his work in the Animatrix segment "The Second Renaissance Parts I and II" and the animation sequence in "Kill Bill Vol. 1."

Sounds like a good portable title. All I got though is this old PSP.
Cool, I remember emailing Ben on this game when it 1st came to the 360 & saying that this game would be a great fit for the Playstation, and now it will be so.
BTW, I've stretched it as far as it will go without it bouncing back & smacking me right in the kisser, but I still don't know what Shmup means.
