If you were anticipating a return to the crazy world of Saints Row: The Third thanks to a big upcoming expansion, well…sorry.
Publisher THQ has announced that their previously revealed expansion pack, "Enter the Dominatrix," will not be released this fall as originally expected.
However, it's not technically canceled; we'll still see that content (in some form) in the next full Saints Row iteration, Saints Row 4 , which will likely arrive next year. New THQ boss Jason Rubin said Volition's vision of the content in question "made it better suited" for SR4, "a full-priced, full-length, high quality, connected experience." Enter the Dominatrix would've been the first standalone expansion for Saints Row: The Third , although the game has already received multiple pieces of DLC.
Interesting move, wouldn't you say?

Bad news for people who bought the online pass but it's probably in the best interest of Volition and THQ to just go full steam ahead on another Saint's Row.
one of the main reasons i wont buy those passes. i never know what the dlc will be or if it will be worth it to me to have spent that money. plus i dont always want to play online multiplayer stuff and that seems to be all any one ever makes.
I agree with you there frylock, Saints Row 3 already has so much to it I don't need the DLC anyway.
SR4 next year? Bad move since GTAV will come out next year.
I think it would be an interesting competition. I am a long time fan of GTA, and a new fan of SR. If both come out next year, then I shall buy both next year. Plus I like GTA and SR for different reasons. I love the realism of GTA, but I also love the over the top ridiculousness of SR. I like both games equally as much. I actually really wish people would stop comparing them, but that's not going to happen.

Next year might be too soon for SR4 anyway.
meh.
does not really matter, id rather see the time put into creating a SR4 and fixing all the things they stuffed up with 3.
they really need to take the missions back to the style of SR2, they just felt really short, simplified, like mini game side quests.
kinda reminded me of dead island!
