Max Payne 3 has earned high praise from critics across the globe and as a result, analysts expect it to sell quite well.
After all, Max is back.
In a note to investors , Sterne Agee analyst Arvind Bhatia says he expects Max Payne 3 to sell 4 million units all-told during its lifetime. Not too shabby.
Hopefully, Max didn't return too late; the last Payne adventure released way back in 2003, and a nearly nine-year gap can really hurt a character's popularity. But with that patented Rockstar flair for top-notch quality and positive responses all around, that gap may be irrelevant. On a side note, Bhatia says Take-Two's fourth quarter earnings will show an 18% year-over-year decline, but adds that the company's future is bright, what with the 2013 fiscal year potentially being the publisher's "best ever."
Grand Theft Auto V should go a long way towards proving Bhatia correct.
