PSX Extreme is going to E3. We were fortunate enough to
receive an invitation to this year's all new E3 Business and
Media Summit in Santa Monica, and I'll be attending on behalf of
the site. Good ol' Benny said he'll remain back east and ensure
coverage of breaking news, as well as screenshots, while I report
on my experiences from the floor. As you guys may know, this
year's revised E3 is going to be an exclusive and intimate
experience, as only 2000 members of the press are expected to
show up. In total about 4000 people are expected to be present,
which is a stark difference in comparison to the 60-70,000 that
showed up in 2005 and 2006.
We've received word that 30 exhibitors will be present at the
Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. 30 may not sound like a lot,
because it isn't. Previously, practically every known publisher
had a booth when E3 was held at the Los Angeles Convention
Center, but such is not the case anymore. The companies present
will be:
1C Company
Activision
Akella
Atari
Atlus
Buena Vista/Disney Interactive
Capcom
Codemasters
Crave Entertainment
Eidos
Electronic Arts
Konami
LucasArts
Majesco
Microsoft
Midway
Namco-Bandai
NCsoft
Nintendo
Sega
Sony
Sony Online Entertainment
Square-Enix
Take-Two Interactive/Rockstar
THQ
Ubisoft
Vivendi Games
Warner Bros.
