Ben-DutkaYeah, it's a little frustrating for PlayStation 3 owners.
Both Xbox 360 and PC users have enjoyed several special multiplayer weekends for Mass Effect 3 , but nothing for the PS3 just yet. Recently, BioWare said it was Sony that was sort of getting in the way.
Thankfully, though, things should work out. A Sony representative told ShackNews that they're "currently working together with EA and BioWare on an implementation to bring Mass Effect 3 multiplayer weekends to PS3." There is no specific date for completion so right now, it may seem vague, but at least we know they're trying to work on the issue. We just don't know if the PS3 stuff will be lagging behind; if BioWare keeps everything consistent, PS3 owners will have missed out on those first weekends.
Although Mass Effect is all about the epic campaign, the multiplayer has really grabbed the fans. For whatever reason, I'm still living in the stone age and just can't imagine playing any RPG multiplayer…role-playing is just about me, playing alone. Sorry, but that's a rule for me.

About time! We missed out on Operation Beachhead and other similar stuff, so this is great news. I've been playing ME3 almost daily with Excelsior and it's really fun. And yeah, having a mic really helps a lot. I hope to play this game with the other folks from here.

hehe. Yes, Zettai we have discussed this at length. It's not fair the 360 has gotten all those special events. PS3 owners have missed out on a lot because I have heard those special events are a blast to play and are the best way to level up to unlock things. I wonder what Bioware means by Sony getting in the way. I do not like hearing that. I want something less vague as well and I want a timetable.

More like a tps to me then anything else , one thing for sure , the MP plays like one .
Other than selecting your character, class, weapon, and equipment, there's hardly anything that can be considered an RPG in ME3's multiplayer. It is definitely more of a third-person shooter in that aspect.
I say the same thing about the single player. It is a TPS with rpg elements. It may be an rpg at heart but it sure wears it's true colors on it's sleeves.

sony has been real open network i think its more do to the fact for the MP weekends to work EA has to see what your doing in MP if you turn of reporting you dont get weekend stuff on the 360

That is a great question that I have asked myself over the years. Sometimes MS pays for it but other times the gaming companies will toss something special out there for 360 owners without MS paying for it. I assume it's because these are mostly NA companies we are talking about and that particular market has always been 360 centric which is something I have despised about this gen. Just spend 10 minutes in any NA Gamestop and you will see just how 360 centric our market is. I have had several Gamestop employees look at me as if they were dumbfounded when I ask for the PS3 version of a game. Sure you don't want to get that for the 360? Um, no retard I asked for the PS3 version for a reason.
the one gamestop i go to its not to bad as the stores GM is on my PS3 friends list

Yes!!! I'm really addicted to the mp. Gold is a piece of cake for me now except when reapers or small maps. Tip don't promote your characters unless you want a good ending. Your going to start all over with the charater if you do.
Gold is a piece of cake for you? Wow. can't wait to play with you then. LOL I only finished Silver several times but never Gold. What character and class are you? I'm usually playing as an Engineer (Human or Geth) or Inflitrator (Salarian), sometimes a Sentinel (Turian).
Whenever I play gold I always play as a salarian engineer or a quarian infiltrator with a carnifex with a scope mod.I just cast decoy and headshot anyone going after the decoy.
ha!! Gold is easy? Me and Zeattai must be doing something wrong. 🙁 We have won but also lost our fair share of matches playing on just Silver and we have been playing with decent players. I have beat a Gold match a couple of times when I was fortunate enough to hook up with some high level players but I admit they carried me. I'm talking about players with 1000p exp but it was not easy for me at all. I tell you one thing. Usually, If you are not playing with a Mic and a high level character then do not even attempt Gold. A balanced party with custom set ups for the enemy you are fighting is crucial as well. Gold on random is suicide unless you are a with a great party. 1 great player isn't enough to carry the team either. You need at least a couple.
I love playing on gold. Got close to beating it a few times. Def need the right team working together and not using any missles til like the 8th round. What time do you guys play at? Add me SEN: KingRed
gold is pretty easy, depending on you and your team. I hate playing firebase white geth like everyone else is doing lately, its a camper's delight and gets boring fast, i like to mix it up.

one thing i wish $ony would bring back!
when the ps3 originally released there were so many community online events and even gaming with the dev nights!
but now were lucky if we see one once a year!
in fact last one playstation AU did was for freaking killzone 2!
