It's time for another Bond game, isn't it?
Activision has announced 007 Legends , which will come to consoles this fall.
It isn't a "direct tie-in" with the upcoming movie; rather, it's a "collection of Bond's most iconic and intense undercover missions" taken from the franchise's very long history. The game is in development at Eurocom, a team that is quite familiar with the British spy; they produced last year's well-received GoldenEye 007: Reloaded , as well as GoldenEye 007 for the Wii, James Bond 007: Nightfire , and even James Bond Jr. from way back in 1991.
Now, although it's not directly related to the aforementioned film, the campaign will boast missions from "Skyfall," which is set to hit movie theaters this October. Famous Bond escapades from five other movies will also be in the game (22 in total), and we'll see the return of the MI6 Ops Missions Mode from Reloaded . Unsurprisingly, they've promised us four-player split-screen fun, which is basically a staple of the series and something you just have to include. Ask any GoldenEye fan.
Typically, the Bond games are always entertaining, if not exquisitely polished. But Eurocom really knows what they're doing, so expect nothing less than a great game when 007 Legends drops.
