If you're a fan of JRPGs, chances are, you've had some fun with the Hyperdimension Neptunia titles.
And although Idea Factory posted up a "Game Over" page saying Gameindustri was shutting down, the developer is set to make more games in the new franchise. That's good news for the followers, yes?
A reader pointed us in the direction of a new teaser site , which hints at the upcoming projects. Furthermore, Siliconera cited Damien Urvois's statement about 2012 being "the year of Neptunia." We don't have any specific details for the new installments, although the first two games were exclusive to the PlayStation 3. Can't really imagine seeing such titles on the Xbox 360 but hey, anything can happen. The 360 got Beautiful Katamari for some bizarre reason.
By the way, apologies for not reviewing Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2 ; things were just way too crazy at the time.
Yay! MK2 is a fun JRPG and a third could only get better. The first one: not so much.
Well the first game was a financial success in spite of the lackluster critical reception. I see no reason why the second one wouldn't be and therefore I see no reason to stop with the franchise.
And Ben, you make it sound like it's too late to review the game. While a review at this point would probably be belated I think that a belated review would certainly be better than no review.
Hey, Deadliest Warrior Legends needs a review before this perverted looking game does =p

And while I don't care for such things I am supportive of the franchise for other reasons.
And besides unlike some people apparently I'm not inclined to trash a whole package simply because of a small portion of the package's content.
Less judging and more objectivity please.

That's really great news. Can't wait – then again, I've yet to work on Neptunia 2, so….perhaps when 3 arrives I will have completed 2.
